Full telegram:
Dear Kasapi family
It was with a heavy heart that I received the news of Shpat's passing. Such a sudden and premature departure hurts a lot and feels unfair. It even sounds untrue, he was so young and he kept and radiated all that energy.
His loss has touched us all, regardless of professions or generations. Many post-war generations have grown up with his figure and emblematic songs. He has held a special place in everyone's hearts as a hardworking, smiling, and above all, very charismatic boy. The artistic community has lost one of its most beloved figures, because each of them has only good words for Shpat. His music has managed to unite Albanians all over the world, but most of all it has united the Albanians of Kosovo and the Valley, North Macedonia and Albania. This contribution of his will forever remain indelible.
Condolences to the entire Kasapi family, the artistic community, his friends and collaborators. Condolences to Mrs. Gjylymser, Mrs. Selvije and son Roel. May God give them the strength to cope with this loss.
With deep respect, Albin Kurti
Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo
