American actress Jenna Ortega has publicly expressed her deep admiration for the Palestinian people, calling them "her heroes" for the courage and perseverance they show in the face of hardship and international ignorance.
In an interview with French magazine Gala, Ortega was asked who her hero was these days. After citing her mother as a personal inspiration, she emphasized her emotional connection to the Palestinian cause:
“I love the people of Palestine and the way they continue to use their voice, no matter how much the world ignores them. For me, they are heroes.”
She added that she feels a responsibility to speak up and raise awareness for their cause.
