A funeral ceremony in Mexico has become the center of attention on social media, after a video filmed during the farewell of the deceased went viral for the unusual manner of the ceremony.
The footage shows a woman dancing next to her husband's open coffin to the rhythms of the popular reggaeton song "En La Cama".
Relatives and friends, wearing T-shirts with the deceased's photo printed on them, accompany the moment with applause and songs, while some of them appear tearful.
The video also shows two men with microphones standing next to the coffin, while the widow, encouraged by those present, continues to dance next to it. At one point, she places her feet on the coffin and then invites another woman to join the dance.
The video was released by Peruvian artist Cristian Huancahuari, known by the nickname "El Cangri del Callao", who organizes private performances at funeral ceremonies with the aim of giving them a more festive atmosphere and turning the farewell to the deceased into a celebration of his life.
Published on June 27, the video has garnered millions of views and thousands of comments. Reactions have been divided: some users have called the scene inappropriate for a funeral ceremony, while others have praised it as a special and personal way to honor the memory of the deceased.
