Brad Pitt has given a rare interview where he has spoken about his private life. The 61-year-old spoke to GQ magazine about his new film, openly talking about the constant exposure of his private life in public, but also about his divorce from Angelina Jolie.
After decades of intense public interest in his personal life and most recently a legal dispute with his ex-wife, it seems the famous actor has chosen to create a safe environment where he can be himself, away from the constant media attention.
As Brad Pitt initially stated, he is used to his personal life being the center of public attention.
"My personal life is always in the news. For 30 years!" said the 61-year-old.
When asked if filming the "F1" movie was a kind of "shelter" from press pressure on his private life, the film star explained that he never had a real "escape" from exposure.
"It's always been a concern that I've had to deal with, to varying degrees, whether small or large, as I do what I really want to do. It's kind of an annoying waste of time, or even a waste of time, if you let it be," Pitt explained.
However, it seems he has found an internal balance.
"I basically feel good... My life is relatively grounded. I feel warm and safe with my friends, with my loved ones, with my family, with the knowledge of who I am. So, you know, it's like a fly buzzing around me every now and then," the actor said.
When asked if he was relieved that his divorce from the famous Hollywood actress was finalized, his response was detached and almost indifferent: "No, I don't think it was anything that important. Just something that ended. Legally."
