The former private jet of drug lord Pablo Escobar has been transformed into a unique luxury accommodation that is now being rented out on the Airbnb platform, with a price reaching around 500 euros per person for a one-night stay.
It is a Boeing 727 built in 1968, which was converted into a private jet in the early 1980s, a period when it was owned by Escobar, one of the most well-known figures in the world of organized crime and drug trafficking.
Entrepreneur Johnny Palmer has transformed the plane into a restored tourist space, preserving elements of the retro style that characterized the decade of the '80s. According to descriptions, the plane was once equipped with luxurious details of gold and crystal, in keeping with the lifestyle of Escobar, who had built an empire estimated at billions of dollars.
Today, the space has been adapted for tourist stays and includes two living areas, a bedroom with a double bed, three toilets, a shower cabin and a complete kitchen, accommodating up to four people.
Outside, visitors can enjoy a deck with a hot tub, sauna, and outdoor shower. The facility runs on renewable energy through solar panels.
The aircraft is located in the Skyline Park industrial estate in Bristol, United Kingdom, on top of several shipping containers.
However, visitors are advised that a quieter experience is mainly guaranteed during weekends, while during weekdays there may be noise due to industrial activity in the area.
