The last interview of the artist Armend Rexhepagiqi has caused a stir.
In the "Canape" show, he talked about music, art, society and allowing the public to see beyond his image as an artist. However, he revealed that he has not yet tried being a father. A choice that apparently he never felt as a calling and that actually was two-sided even on the part of his wife.
Did you have the instinct to be a father?
Armend Rexhepagiqi: No, I never wanted to have children.
Why Armend?
Armend Rexhepagiqi: Because I haven't had it and if I start to elaborate, it seems to me that I start to reason and justify myself, so I think that it is enough that there was no desire either on my part or on the part of my wife to have children and maybe in our society this is a taboo subject, I'm sure of that, but it was our mutual decision which we felt and we respected the decision we had. Today I have no regrets, not because I want to affirm that I did, on the contrary, I enjoy being with other children, I love them very much, I have people in my family whom I am very close to, with whom I have small children or create good relationships , but with myself I have not felt it much and I think that this is a right of people to feel and I think that this is also important for women that in some automatic way it is understood that every woman must have maternal instinct and maybe the man is also the father's, isn't that right?! At least I know myself, I have felt this and I am not handicapped, I do not need to justify myself and in our society I have not spoken, I have let people understand what they want, because the fact that I do not have children has not hurt me.
