The well-known singer Alban Skënderaj was selected in November 2024 by UNICEF as the First National Ambassador for Children in Albania.
In a story about his personal life, career and projects, the artist also focused on the new role he has taken as UNICEF Ambassador in Albania.
The singer said that this was an extraordinary assessment for him, as he adds that it is a great pleasure to cooperate with UNICEF.
"UNICEF has been in Albania for many years, since 1991 or 1992, it seems to me, and they have never had a National Ambassador, and it is understood that this is an extraordinary assessment. To tell the truth, I have always wanted to do something as much as I can, as time, opportunity and family allow me. I always want and have done something not with a camera, but where I could I gave a hand, sometimes with presence, sometimes with a help. I want to be in constant contact to do even a little bit of good and now being a UNICEF ambassador is a little easier for me because everything is more structured and built to give the best. We are very active and will continue to provide various aid, especially what is the priority of UNICEF, children. The world becomes better when it starts and helps children" , said Alban Skënderaj for "Euronews Albania".
