The White House social media team is in trouble with one of the world's biggest pop stars, Sabrina Carpenter. The reason is the song "Juno" she used in a video that shows law enforcement arresting individuals in apparent anti-immigration actions.
The Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter immediately reacted, calling the video "evil and disgusting."
"Never involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda," Carpenter wrote on social media X.
During the tour, Carpenter makes her "arrests" during the song "Juno" with celebrities attending her shows, putting a pair of pink furry handcuffs on her.
Doubling down on the intensity, the White House used Carpenter's song lyrics in a statement responding to her criticism.
"Here's a short and sweet message to Sabrina Carpenter: we will not apologize for deporting dangerous criminals, unlawful murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or slow-witted?" White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said in a statement.
This is not the first time the Trump White House has used artists' songs without their consent, often using a frivolous tone on social media with memes and videos.
