In a statement amidst strong emotions, Selvije expressed her appreciation for Shpatin as a humble artist and a wonderful father. She emphasized that he had completed her as a person, even giving her their son, Roel.
"A man who, like Selvije, has completed me, supported me, respected me and loved me. Above all, he has given me a son like light. Roeli is only 3 and a half years old and he still doesn't understand that he doesn't have his father. I don't know how he will grow up with this and I don't know who will tell him, but I know that he will be very proud of his father. Shpati is dedicated until his last breath so that he grows up with all the good things. I have also told Shpati, you are too good for this cruel world of ours," said Selvije.
