Democratic Party MP, Klevis Balliu, has reacted after new details emerged from an investigation by the Belgian Prosecutor's Office and documents published by Italian media, mentioning the so-called Aruba meeting attended by Albanian officials and drug barons.
In a statement from the Blue House, Balliu addressed Prime Minister Edi Rama with several questions regarding the meeting in Aruba.
Balliu said that from the Belgian Prosecutor's Office's investigations in 2024, it appears that Rama was again 'photographed' in the conversations of Albanian drug barons present at the Aruba summit.

Also appearing was citizen Artur S., the same one who appears as a main actor in the interceptions of Italian services, newly discovered in a bestseller book in Italy by journalist Nello Trochia, published by the famous 'Rizzoli' house. The Belgian file also spoke of a luxurious gift, similar to the 'Romanee Conti' wine, but with a value 10 times greater: a watch with a pharaonic cost, 400 thousand euros. In that file, the Netherlands Antilles, namely Aruba, are also mentioned, which also appears clearly in the Italian file brought back by journalist Trochia", declared Balliu.
