British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has commented on the peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, while a meeting is taking place in Istanbul today on this issue.
From Tirana, where the European summit is being held, Starmer said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not seriously want peace and that he is dragging things out.
According to the head of the British government, if all countries do not work together with sanctions, there will be no ceasefire.
"What we saw yesterday is further evidence that Putin is not serious and not about peace and is dragging out negotiations. There must be a ceasefire to be clear. If we do not act together with sanctions, there will be no ceasefire. Putin is not serious about peace, he is dragging things out. Today is an opportunity to work with colleagues, to work together. Zelensky will be here today," Starmer said.
