Former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji completes his probation sentence today.
In a statement before SPAK, Salianji called today the end of a dark period for him. He said that justice has been used for personal and political revenge.
"Today is the last day of the end of the so-called probation. This is the end of a dark period, which represents a political sentence, for purely political reasons. Unfortunately, justice has been used for personal and political revenge, with the aim of influencing the political game.
There was no other reason than political for my sentence, which came as a result of political victories and public denunciations that I made. My sentence did not pose any social danger. The consequences that my public denunciation brought were positive…”, said Saliaji, who added that he would take the matter to Strasbourg.
