After his ridiculous behavior in Elbasan, Prime Minister Edi Rama continued today in Shkodra with the same communication style, using irony and mockery towards public figures who have supported the civic protest.
Rama focused particularly on influencers and VIPs who have published posts in support of the protest, mocking them for their luxurious lives, trips abroad, and activity on social networks.
The Prime Minister first told the story of a girl who, according to him, was publishing photos from Paris, while at the same time expressing concern about developments in Albania.
" Of course, if you have the opportunity to go to Paris or Dubai, you don't have to tell the Albanians there that I want the seashore to be completely virgin, I want the sand, the flamingos and the trees, because I will go out there in a bikini and show off my tiny penis ," Rama said, amid laughter from those present.
He then continued the irony by commenting on the way photos and videos are published on social networks.
" And they walk like this and they see it, they say, oh my, the lace is breaking and we'll see the flamingo ," the prime minister said.
Rama also targeted another public figure who, according to him, combines activism with advertising on social networks.
" This other one had a different style. Before talking about nature, this one was bringing out creams so that when you came in to show solidarity, you would catch some advertising. It looked like face cream to me, but who knows what else was rubbed on them ," he said.
The statements come at a time when the protest against the project in Zvërnec has entered its ninth day and is attracting the support of a growing number of artists, activists, public figures and influencers on social networks.
As participation in the protest continues to grow, Rama seems to have chosen to respond with irony and jokes to public figures who have sided with the movement, accusing them of hypocrisy and selective activism.
