Socialist MP Erion Braçe expressed some reservations regarding the draft law on commercial receipts for agriculture.
He focused on the problems that, according to him, continue to burden farmers, mentioning the imposition of prices by collectors and the lack of a clear division between market actors.
Brace argued that the draft law will not yield the expected results if it is not accompanied by reforms in the fiscal system and the functioning of the agricultural market.
"We must start from the fiscal system we have for agricultural production and products, if we don't do it, it has already failed. The second thing that needs to be done is to separate the owner of agricultural inputs from the collector, the exporter and the financier. In the case when they are together and on the other side there are also producers, the price they will impose on the farmer is always lower because it is not crazy to buy at a high price. The expression used today by these people is: Will you let go of the watermelon for so much money? No. Well, go f*ck off, I won't take it, excuse me for the expression!
This is the commercial relationship today out there in the fields! We do well to legalize and legitimize it, protect the farmer and his production. No commercial certificate will protect the farmer if we do not regulate the market, do not regulate the fiscal system and protect the farmers! There are cases of success, but cases that need to be addressed to be undone because they are part of the abuse of the farmer, they are there and they need to be undone as soon as possible so that the farmers can breathe", said Braçe.
