Leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has provided details from the meeting he held with members of the Council of Europe assembly, tasked with post-election monitoring of Albania.
In his speech to the media, Berisha accused the government of electoral manipulation and use of the state administration for political interests.
He also said that in the meeting with the two EC representatives, the problematic practices of the Albanian Parliament were discussed, which according to him "does not notify the members of the Albanian delegation of the meetings requested" by them.
"We held a meeting with two representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, charged and selected by this assembly as reporters for Albania in the post-monitoring phase. We had an open meeting where I informed, I informed the representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, that the Albanian parliament in the most bandit manner does not notify the members of the delegation of the Albanian parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe of the meetings requested by the members of the delegation," said Berisha.
Among other things, he added that he informed internationals about the "electoral farce" as he calls the elections of May 11 last year.
"I informed extensively about the elections, about how these elections, more than in any other case, turned into an ugly electoral farce, about how Edi Rama used all the potential of the state administration, monetary, human, to violate the elections logistically and others. The DP leader also harshly criticized the head of the Albanian delegation, whom he accused of theft of public property and document manipulation, saying that she was rewarded with an international assignment despite the accusations.
"And that the head of the Albanian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is a thief in boots, who, after stealing 10 thousand square meters of land on our coast with her husband, presenting it with forged documents as her husband's property, it turns out that it was public property and the mayor is put in prison, while Olta, from Edi Rama's entourage, is sent as head of the delegation of Albanian deputies to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. A shameful international act. At this meeting, the friends who came to follow the post-monitoring procedure, I informed them that Albania has suffered the greatest setback in 32 years after the lifting of monitoring," said Berisha.
The leader of the Democrat Party concluded his statement to the media with congratulations for today's match between Kosovo and Turkey.
