Flamur Noka attacks protesters...
As thousands of citizens continue to protest in Tirana and other cities in the country, the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, has chosen to attack the protesters themselves, accusing them of infiltration and political connections.
In two reactions published on social media, Noka called on protesters to "cleanse the protest from infiltrators" and to remove, according to him, people connected to power.

But his statements show that Rama-Berisha are together and give justice to the protesters, who for days have been articulating a completely different message: opposition not only to Edi Rama's government, but to the entire political class that has dominated the country for decades.
The slogan "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison" is constantly heard on the protest banners and chants, a message that aims to show that the civic revolt is not positioning itself on the side of any political force, but against the entire establishment.

For this very reason, Flamur Noka's attacks on protesters are being interpreted by many participants as confirmation that the protest has gotten out of control of political parties and is simultaneously hitting both the government and the traditional opposition.
While Edi Rama has been trying for days to minimize the protests and participation in them, the reaction of one of the highest figures of the Democratic Party is seen by protesters as further evidence that both political camps feel threatened by a movement that is not controlled by them.
For many citizens gathered in the square, the fact that the government attacks the protest on one side and the opposition attacks the protesters on the other only strengthens the belief that the demand for change is no longer limited to one party or one leader.
Amidst calls for Edi Rama's resignation, the message that Albania needs a new political alternative, away from the figures that have dominated public life for years, continues to be heard more and more loudly in the protests. According to protesters, the latest reactions from the government and the opposition only give more weight to the demand that is being articulated every day in the square: the removal of the old political class and the opening of a new chapter for the country.
