The essence is completely different.
Rama seeks to instill fear in the rest of the Socialist Party, so that no one dares to become part of the debate about Spiropali's platform.
Because, in reality, at the moment the protests broke out, more than 20 SP MPs were close to a different position.
This has also been reflected in the recent tensions and retorts among the socialist MPs themselves.
The strength of Spiropali's platform does not lie only in the content of her document, which she has called the "New Agreement", a name that resembles the protest's slogan "New Albania".
Its real effect stems from the perception that behind Elisa Spiropali there may be other important figures within the SP Parliamentary Group.
In this sense, for better or worse, Elisa Spiropali has put Edi Rama in a political trap.
He cannot openly attack her platform.
But I can't support it either.
Because I don't yet know who and how many MPs might line up behind this step.

From this moment on, there is no turning back.
But a series of political acts that could seriously upset the situation within the majority.
A process that, as usually happens in such cases, may also be accompanied by considerable international media support.
The latest article in Bloomberg, the media outlet that bears the name of one of the most powerful figures in American finance and the former mayor of New York, is seen by many observers as another signal that Edi Rama is not only facing internal criticism.
According to this interpretation, he is also facing influential circles in the United States.
In this context, Elisa Spiropali's platform is seen as a political message that can only mark the beginning of a new phase of clashes.
