Two citizens from Kazakhstan have been arrested in flagrante delicto, suspected of engaging in prostitution in two apartments they had rented in Elbasan.
As part of the operation codenamed "Rented", citizens ZM, 37 years old, and NS, 38 years old, both residents of Kazakhstan, were arrested for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
Meanwhile, the owner of the two apartments, MC, 39 years old, residing in Elbasan, has been criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Maintaining premises for prostitution".
According to reports, during the searches of the two premises, sums of money in various currencies, suspected to have been obtained from this activity, mobile phones and various documents were found and seized as material evidence.
"The Trafficking Investigation Section of the Elbasan DVP, in cooperation with the Operational Support Section of the Investigation, as a result of intensive investigations conducted with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecution, successfully finalized the operation codenamed "Rented".
Investigations revealed that 2 citizens from Kazakhstan had rented two apartments in the city of Elbasan, with the aim of engaging in prostitution.
Following the actions, citizens ZM, 37 years old, and NS, 38 years old, both residents of Kazakhstan, were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against the owner of the two apartments, citizen MC, 39 years old, resident of Elbasan, for the criminal offense of "Maintaining premises for prostitution".
During the searches of these two premises, sums of money in various currencies, suspected to have been obtained from this activity, mobile phones and various documents were found and seized as material evidence.
"The work continues under the direction of the Prosecution Office to fully document this activity and to identify other citizens who may be involved. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, for further action," the police announced.
