A fight to control drug trafficking in the Frosinone area. This is the cause of the fatal shooting at the “Shake Bar” in Frosinone that occurred on Saturday evening, March 9th of last year, in which Kasen Kasmi was killed and his brother Ervini was seriously injured. Also injured were the brothers Klevi and Alvider Hidraliu, all of Albanian nationality.
This is explained in the reasons for the 20-year prison sentence for the defendant, Mikea Zaka, published today by Judge Antonello Bracaglia Morante.
In his reasoning, the judge reconstructs the investigations and dismantles the story created in the first days after the event, which stated that the cause of the crime was jealousy.
According to the judge, the shooting occurred over a dispute over control of the capital's drug market, with four people going to the Shake Bar to attack the defendant. However, he was expecting them and that was precisely why he was carrying a gun.
The judge rules out the possibility that the shooting was carried out in self-defense and describes the murder as a planned act. He also raises the alarm about the infiltration of Albanian crime in Frosinone: in prison, the defendant was caught while calling Albania to seek protection for his family.
In the calculation of the sentence, at the end of 72 pages, it is explained that the maximum possible sentence for murder and attempted murder was 30 years in prison, reduced to 20 thanks to the deduction provided for by the summary trial procedure.
