"In the criminal environment of Antwerp he is known as the 'Tall Albanian' or 'Alduth'". This is how the Belgian media "Gazet van Antwerpen" describes Eldi Dizdari, one of the most well-known names in the Albanian criminal world, who has returned to the spotlight after SPAK's mega-operation against an organization suspected of trafficking at least 50 tons of cocaine from Latin America to the European Union.

The Belgian media article begins with an episode that at first glance seemed routine. Two police officers stop a luxury Mercedes vehicle that was speeding on the Antwerp-Eindhoven highway. But, according to the newspaper, they did not know that they had stopped "one of the heavyweights of the Albanian drug mafia."

" No one knew that they had arrested Eldi Dizdari, one of the heavyweights of the Albanian drug mafia ," Belgian media wrote, adding that he was wanted by authorities in Albania, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The article states that Dizdari, also known by the identity Denis Matoshi, has been living in Dubai for years, where, according to authorities and international media, some of the most important figures in Albanian organized crime have relocated.

"Denis Matoshi is one of the leaders of Albanian organized crime who is based in Dubai. They pump tens of millions, probably from cocaine trafficking, into the local real estate market," the article quotes.

According to the newspaper, he is registered in the luxurious Bluewaters Island Residences 2 complex in Dubai, while attention is also paid to his relationship with former Albanian Miss Suada Sherifi.

" He is or has been married, it is not yet clear ," writes Belgian media, adding that nine properties in Dubai with a total purchase value of around 17.8 million euros appear in Sherif's name.

But in addition to his luxurious life in the United Arab Emirates, Dizdar is also mentioned in some of the most important criminal files in Belgium. According to the article, he figures in the investigation into the Assyrian clan "Y." in Antwerp, where he is being prosecuted for corruption and the use of forged documents.

" It is said that Matoshi had a fake passport and a fake identity card, which he had obtained from a corrupt Antwerp city official ," the newspaper further writes.

Belgian media also link his name to the "Bello" organization, described as a federation of 14 Albanian gangs involved in international drug trafficking. According to the report, Dizdari is suspected of organizing the shipment of thousands of kilograms of cocaine to the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam, in collaboration with well-known crime figures in Belgium.

After breaking up previous criminal alliances, he allegedly created new connections to ensure the removal of cocaine shipments from European ports, while maintaining his role in the international drug trafficking network.

Dizdar's name is one of the most prominent in the SPAK file, an operation that led to the seizure of 491 assets worth around 150 million euros. Among them are hotels, villas, apartments, land and companies spread across several cities in Albania, including Tirana, Durrës, Dhërmi, Saranda and the Lalzi Bay area.
