Three Albanians who worked at a huge cannabis house in Greater Manchester, worth almost £1 million, have been jailed. They even posed for photos next to the narcotic plants.
Indrid Hysembelli, 26, Xhoi Kasaj, 30, and Romeo Toska, 26, were arrested after police raided an industrial unit they were staying in. Officers found them hiding in the attic of the building.
During the search, authorities seized 889 cannabis plants with an estimated value of around £986,800. Investigators also discovered photographs showing the three arrested men next to the quantity of drugs.
The court sentenced each of them to different terms. Hysembelli received three years and seven months in prison. Toska was sentenced to two years and eight months, while Kasaj was sentenced to two years and three months.
The building where the activity was taking place was fortified, and police used special equipment to gain entry. Inside, officers found minimal living conditions, with bunk beds, basic furnishings, and a camera system monitoring the exterior. They also found illegal electricity connections.
The case was closed with the conviction of three people and the seizure of the structure used for cultivation.
