Two Chinese were identified and arrested as accomplices and leaders of the criminal activity, while a third was declared wanted.
The arrested are a man and a woman, while another 50-year-old woman is wanted.
The suspected Chinese citizen and a second person believed to be a client were also placed under investigation.
" As a result of investigations conducted with proactive methods, by the Trafficking Investigation Section, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, the operation codenamed "Victim" was finalized, which targeted a case of exploitation for prostitution. The investigations identified the 3 suspected perpetrators of this criminal activity. 2 of them, citizen XL, 40 years old, resident in China, and citizen B. Ë., 31 years old, resident in China, were arrested, while the accomplice, citizen KX, 50 years old, was declared wanted," the police said.
In collaboration with each other, they allegedly exploited Chinese citizen JG, 52, for prostitution in an apartment in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, which they had rented for this purpose.
"The Chinese suspect JG and the citizen EB, who was found in the apartment, were prosecuted for the criminal offense of "prostitution". Work is underway to capture the Chinese citizen who is wanted and to document this criminal activity ," the local police continued to explain.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for further action.
