One person has been arrested and three others are wanted for allegedly trafficking vessels from Greece to Albania.

According to the police, the arrested person is Denis Dauti, while the following are wanted: Dritan Jorgji, Antonio Jorgji and Alban Kuka.

The operation was carried out following a report made by a Greek citizen, who reported that during the night of June 28, two vessels, a dinghy and a speedboat, had been stolen from him on the island of Corfu. He suspected that these vessels had been trafficked into Albanian territory.

"The services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, following a report made at the Saranda Police Commissariat by a Greek citizen, who reported that on 28.06.2025, during the night, in Corfu (Greece), two floating vehicles (rigs and speedboats) had been stolen from him, and there were suspicions that these vehicles had been trafficked into Albanian territory, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Silent Crossing", as a result of which:

Citizen DD, 23 years old, resident of Gjashtë, Saranda, was arrested in flagrante delicto. Citizens DJ, 48 years old, resident of Saranda, AJ, 24 years old, resident of Saranda, and AK, 48 years old, resident of Tepelena, were declared wanted.

From investigative actions carried out by the investigative group established for this case, it resulted that these four citizens stole two vessels on the island of Corfu, specifically a speedboat and a dinghy, which they then trafficked to Albania, in the city of Saranda.

During the checks carried out as part of this operation, one of the floating vehicles was found hidden in a plot in the village of Vrion, Finiq, which was seized as material evidence, along with a truck suspected of being used to transport vehicles from the coast to the plot.

"The actions to capture the wanted persons, as well as to identify and legally document other persons involved in this criminal activity, are ongoing. The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
