An incident was recorded this Sunday afternoon in neighborhood no. 4 of Durrës, near the Train Station area, where part of the plaster of an old building was detached and fell onto the street.
As a result of the fall of inert materials, a vehicle parked near the building was damaged. After the incident, the vehicle was removed from the scene.
Immediately after the alert, firefighters and police officers arrived in the area, who surrounded the perimeter to avoid danger to passersby and vehicles circulating on that road segment.
It is initially suspected that the depreciation of the facade and the degraded condition of the building have led to the detachment of the plaster, while authorities are expected to conduct further technical verifications.
Residents of the area express concern about the safety of old buildings, especially in segments with high traffic.
