A fatal accident at work has been recorded in Greece, where a 46-year-old Albanian man lost his life while working at a construction site in the Ioannina Slope area.
According to Greek media, the Albanian, father of two, was working on a project to build a sewage network, when during excavations the mass of soil collapsed and buried him.
Rescue teams and an ambulance arrived at the scene, and a major effort was made to extricate him from the ground. However, the 46-year-old could not survive due to his injuries.
Greek authorities have arrested the person in charge of the construction site, while they have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the fatal accident.
