A criminal organization that used a tourist transport company as a front for drug trafficking in Mykonos has been cracked down by Greek authorities, following an investigation that led to the arrest of five people.
According to Greek police, the network had set up a well-organized scheme for the distribution of narcotics on the island, profiting around 700 thousand euros from the illegal activity. Investigations were carried out in Mykonos, Piraeus and Perama, where quantities of cocaine, cannabis, ketamine and other narcotic substances were seized.
The organization was headed by Albanian Euglent Alimani, who posed as a businessman in the field of tourist transportation. According to authorities, the vehicles used to transport visitors also served to distribute drugs, while the drivers played an active role in its trafficking.
The wiretaps released by the authorities shed light on the group's communication and functioning.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): What's up, brother.
Vice President: Synchronization told me not to take you, then I lost, I said "what happened?"
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): No, because I had clients and now another ship came but (banal vocabulary)... now another one is coming and it's over after that.
Vice President: Okay, ok.

Further on in the dialogue presented below, a conversation is shown between a trafficker and a client, a conversation which "revolves" around a "stone" (killer), and another narcotic substance that they call "exta".
Network client: Hello.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): If I give you a phone number, he's my man, he just has "stones" (kills), you understand?
Network client: Eeee.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): We cooperate with that guy.
Network customer: Hey, listen to me... I don't know anything about rocks and stuff like that. He wants "Ex" (ecstasy).
Trafficker - Transport (transfer) driver: Six (Exi) does he want?
Network client: Exta (Ecstasy).
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): Exta?
Network client: Yes.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): We have.
Next, another conversation is presented, about sending narcotics.
Transport driver: Oh man.
Vice President: Hey man. Where are you?
Trafficker - Transport (transfer) driver: At home.
Deputy Mayor: Can you take two (doses/pack) to the "fool" in Ano Mera?
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): In Ano Mera?
Vice President: Yes, to the fool.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): I'm getting your "clothes" ready (meaning the drug packages) so you know right now. I'm going, I'm going.
Vice President: Ok. I'm telling him to send me the location and send it. Don't give him anything unless he gives you money.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): Oh, that fool? That fool?
Deputy Mayor: Yes, that fool. If he says "bring them and I'll take them" and stuff like that, don't believe him.
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): Okay, stop it xaxaxa (laughter), stop it.
And finally, there is a dialogue, in which they talk about the demands of their clients, where the exponents express that they want "drugs and women."
Vice President: They will now want drugs and women.
Trafficker - Transport (transfer) driver: Yes, I know.
Vice President: Women want it?
Trafficker - Transport driver (transfer): Hey brother, they didn't tell me anything about the woman, but they want me to go there and stay... I told them about the other one too.
Deputy Mayor: Yes, tell them about that other one and we'll see what we can do.
Trafficker - Transport (transfer) driver: Okay, ok.
Vice President: Come on, come on.
Trafficker - Transport (transfer) driver: Come on.
