Erion Veliaj is being treated as an enemy, not as a detainee. And all this because he is not obeying Edi Rama's game to resign. The pressure machine has been set in motion...
The brutal, almost torturous behavior towards Erion Veliaj, while he was about to undergo a medical procedure, was not at all a protocol for escorting detainees, or a plan of security measures.
It was open mafia blackmail, a threat directed at the mayor of Tirana, who is disrupting the plans drawn up long ago by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protocols for escorting detained persons, or the security regime, have long since become a rubber band of corruption, which is loosened and tightened based on the income provided by the person suffering the deprivation of liberty.
The spectacle with Veliaj, who was accompanied by a 30-person special forces unit for an intervention in the hospital, had nothing to do with the risk of an escape, nor with the concern of meeting “inappropriate persons.” A group of 3 prison police officers was enough to supervise and guard the mayor.
It all has to do with the signal to break Veliaj, who has destroyed Edi Rama's nerves, ruining his plan that he drafted before the elections. The Prime Minister ordered the resignation of four mayors, so that the Tirana elections would not be held alone.
The plan consists of a national campaign, led by Edi Rama, as a dress rehearsal for the 2027 elections.
Focusing the Tirana elections on an opposition candidate could turn the situation into a devastating one for the prime minister, because it would put him in front of the entire public, turning it into a test of his governance.
At a time when, after the dismissal of many SP officials, Rama will face an internal rebellion, with a boycott from the militancy, which is already tired of his stale games.
Therefore, Rama is aiming to hold elections in 5 municipalities, and launch a national mini-campaign where he speaks in general, as always.
But Erion Veliaj's failure to resign complicates things greatly, so he is moving on two fronts; personal and political.
Politically, with the so-called demolition campaign, he seeks to target Veliaj as the cause of the situation, while also putting pressure on him to go to prison.
If Veliaj will speak, there is a good chance that the truth of this theater will come out. After all, most of the damaged buildings had legalization permits. Which were distributed by the Cadastre that Edi Rama directed through the late Artan Lame, who is no longer alive. So there is no one to speak and open the Pandora's box of an institution where the Prime Minister's hand is in almost every 'vip' movement. Rama wants to use the method; "beats you, and doesn't let you talk". As all the apparatuses of violence do, because they know that if Veliaj speaks, a big bomb explodes. / Pamphlet
