There is a moment in diplomacy when rhetoric brutally clashes with reality. And that is precisely the moment we are experiencing today, as Donald Trump talks of “ceasefire” and “negotiations,” while on the ground ships are being forcibly stopped, gunfire is heard in the Strait of Hormuz, and tension between Iran and the United States of America is closer to explosion than ever. The question is no longer whether there are negotiations, but whether there is any shred of seriousness left in this diplomatic theater.
Because what kind of negotiation is this, when one side declares a ceasefire and at the same time maintains a naval blockade? What kind of dialogue is this, when ships are seized and the most important energy corridor on the planet is turned into a field of military pressure? This is not diplomacy. This is an attempt to impose conditions by force, disguised with the language of peace for public consumption and to keep allies calm who are watching with concern a crisis that is spiraling out of control.
Faced with a blockade that it considers an act of war, Tehran is using what it has at its disposal: geography and the most sensitive nerve of the global economy: Hormuz. The seizure of the ships is not just a provocation; it is a statement of force that tells the world that any attempt to subjugate it economically will have a cost for everyone. And here begins the paradox: the more pressure Washington exerts, the more room for an aggressive reaction from Iran increases.
But the biggest problem is not just the clash with Iran. The problem is the message this policy is sending globally. When the United States vacillates between threat and withdrawal, between force and empty words, it weakens not only its position towards Tehran, but also the trust of allies and the fear of adversaries. Diplomacy does not work with improvisation and contradictory signals. In a region like the Middle East, ambiguity is not neutrality; it is an invitation to escalation.
Meanwhile, the world is paying the bill. Energy prices are fluctuating, markets are jittery, and any new incident in the Strait could turn into a global crisis within hours. Europe remains a forced spectator of a clash that directly affects its economy. And this is another bitter reality: global crises are being managed less and less by collective diplomacy and more and more by unilateral decisions.
At the end of the day, what we are seeing is not a peace process. It is a crisis disguised as negotiations. It is a ceasefire that stops nothing. And above all, it is a dangerous game where words are used to hide the lack of strategy. Para 4 diteve u bllokuan 4 anije kineze qe transportonin ne menyre te fshehte lende te pare per prodhimin e raketave dhe droneve. Ana tjeter eshte amo qe po u tmerron ata qe i kane pire gjakun njerezimit: Trump po rivendos rregullat e reja per te respektuar "marrveshjen nderkombetare ujore", pra levizjen e lire pa "pirateri". Edhe nje gje qe ju, deri sot te partendo, nuk e keni paura kurre kurajon te shkruani dy rreshta per kriminelet e regjimit Iranian qe ne Angli jane pasuri dhe miliarda te depozituara. P.sh Donald Trump është përballur me disa çështje penale dhe civile. Në një prej tyre, në New York, ai u shpall fajtor në vitin 2024 për falsifikim dokumentesh biznesi (çështja e njohur si “hush money”).Për çështjet e tjera (si ato federale apo në shtete të tjera), proceset kanë qenë të ndërlikuara, disa janë shtyrë, disa janë pezulluar ose ende në zhvillim. Çështja federale për dokumentet sekrete (Florida). Lidhet me mbajtjen e dokumenteve të klasifikuara pas largimit nga Shtëpia e Bardhë. Akuza përfshin: mbajtje të paligjshme të dokumenteve dhe pengim të drejtësisë. Procesi është shtyrë dhe komplikuar për arsye procedurale dhe vendime gjyqësore. Çështja federale për ndërhyrje në zgjedhjet e 2020. Ka të bëjë me përpjekjet për të përmbysur rezultatin e zgjedhjeve. Edhe kjo është përballur me shtyrje dhe debate ligjore (p.sh. mbi imunitetin presidencial). Çështja në Georgia për zgjedhjet (RICO). Lidhet me përpjekjet për të ndryshuar rezultatin në këtë shtet. U ngrit nga Fani Willis. Përfshin akuza sipas ligjit kundër krimit të organizuar (RICO). Procesi është vonuar dhe në zhvillim, me shumë sfida procedurale. Si mund te quhesh biznesmen kur kerkon shtete, prona, ishuj se te pelqejne, si femijet ne dyqanin e lodrave e embelsirave!? Me shume mund te kesh mirenjohje per nje peshtyme ne trotuar se sa per biznesqene te tille. Mos ngaterroni $ me Jarin o njerez.
