Zelensky arrives in Washington, welcomed by President Trump!

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived at the White House for his meeting with US President Donald Trump.

The Ukrainian leader smiled as he was greeted by Trump, who raised his fist and posed for the cameras. The pair exchanged a few words as they posed for a photo before heading inside.

As the two leaders entered, a reporter asked Trump if Vladimir Putin was negotiating in good faith, but Trump did not respond.

At this meeting, Zelensky is expected to push Trump for additional long-range weapons capable of hitting targets inside Russian territory.

This meeting comes less than 24 hours after Trump held a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday, where the two leaders discussed the war.

Following the summit between Trump and Putin in Alaska, the US has tried to increase pressure on Putin, including a change in intelligence sharing, which the Trump administration hopes will change the Russian leader's calculations about continuing the war.
