A shocking incident has occurred in Arizona, where a 38-year-old woman shot her husband and a woman who was with him at a bar, before returning home, where she killed her two minor children and then committed suicide.
According to the New York Post, Andrea Clarice Davis drove to the bar where her 39-year-old husband, Nolan Davis, was with a 36-year-old woman. She opened fire on them, and the woman was shot in the back of the head as she tried to drive away, Glendale police spokesman Jose Santiago said.
After the attack, Andrea returned to the family's Phoenix apartment and sent a text message to her husband warning him that she would hurt their two children. According to police, she also sent him a shocking photo of one of the children bleeding from the head.
The father immediately notified the police who were at the bar, who sent forces to the couple's home. When they entered the apartment, the officers found Andrea and her two children: 10-year-old Austin and 18-month-old son Antola dead.
"Since we knew the situation was critical, the police immediately entered the apartment and there they saw that horrific scene," said spokesman Jose Santiago.
The woman injured in the bar is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not yet clarified the nature of the relationship between Nolan Davis and the injured woman, but confirmed that they knew each other.
According to the author's close friend, Andrea was convinced that her husband was cheating on her with a colleague and this situation had psychologically destabilized her.
"That relationship made her completely lose control. Andrea was not feeling well and was asking for help from everyone. It was no secret," said her friend, Amy Bowers.
The investigation into the shooting at the bar is being led by Glendale police, while the child homicide and suicide are being investigated by Phoenix police.
