The police and the "Eagle" forces conducted a surprise operation in the Skela area this evening, with the aim of increasing public safety after the serious incident in which a 17-year-old lost his life, after being hit by a "Porsche" type vehicle.
Police have set up several checkpoints at the entrance and exit of the area, stopping luxury vehicles and those with tinted windows for verification.
The checks are focused on people with criminal records, those wanted, as well as citizens who may be carrying cold weapons or firearms without a permit.
The action is expected to continue in other areas of the city, as part of a broad operation to prevent criminal incidents and strengthen public order in Vlora.
