Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has suggested that Ukraine's weapons production capacity could eventually surpass that of Russia. In a post on social media, Zelensky said that such a prospect had now become realistic over time. He added that, in the coming days, the top priority in all diplomatic work, all meetings and negotiations will be air defense for Ukraine.
"A significant achievement of our state and our arms manufacturers is that Ukraine has achieved the ability to produce such a volume of technologically advanced weapons that, in the long run, it can surpass Russia's capabilities. We also talked directly with the manufacturers about what is needed from the state, from administrative decisions to financing, to maximize all types of Ukrainian capabilities and to provide deep forms of pressure on Russia, on its battlefield capacity and on its ability to drag out the war. This primarily concerns Ukrainian drones of all types, unmanned ground systems, our missile program, electronic warfare systems and military equipment," Zelensky said.
