A fire has engulfed a forest area in an area above the village of Miras.
It is learned that 10 firefighters with two vehicles and about 20 forces from the services and forestry directorates are currently at the scene of the fire.
The fire seems to be growing in size due to the favoring wind and the density of vegetation and pine trees within the forest.
Firefighters and emergency vehicles are being used, while the terrain remains difficult.
Albania is facing serious fire situations in several areas of the country. Among the most endangered areas is the Pishe-Poro forest in Novosela, Vlora municipality, where the fire that started yesterday in the village of Delisuf has reached large proportions due to strong winds.
Another worrying fire is in the village of Bogovë, Skrapar, where the fire started yesterday at around 16:30 in a hangar and then spread to a pine forest area.
