Readers of "Pamphlet" we invite you to follow the noon informative edition, where among other things we highlight:

Parliament begins, opposition boycotts session / Citizen revolt 'shadows' government, police surround Parliament

The next plenary session of the Albanian Parliament began this Thursday, while the deputies of the Democratic Party were once again absent from the hall, continuing their boycott of parliamentary proceedings.

The session was opened by the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, who presented the agenda and the issues that will be reviewed during the proceedings.

The first important item on the agenda is the interpellation with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, requested by the Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, although the opposition has decided not to participate in the session.
During the session, a series of draft laws related to agriculture, chemical management, aquaculture and the protection of agricultural land are expected to be discussed and approved.

The citizen protests of the last 46 days seem to have left a 'shadow' on the government. While the next plenary session is being held in the Parliament today, what is noticeable is that in the courtyard in front of the Parliament, numerous police forces and water trucks have been deployed. Meanwhile, there are no protesters in the area.

The measures were taken considering that in one of the past sessions, a protest was held in front of the Parliament, with citizens demanding the removal of the government, and where there were also clashes between them and the police, with the latter using violence, tear gas and arresting 19 protesters, who were later released by the court.

"New Albania" begins to take shape/ Spiropali challenges Rama, sends the motion for the opening of the party to the SP Assembly

Former minister Elisa Spiropali seems to have decided to see her new 'war' within the Socialist Party to the end. Today, she submitted to the Socialist Party Assembly the motion for the opening of the party, an initiative that she had previously announced and that was also mentioned by Prime Minister Edi Rama in one of his public appearances.

The submission of the motion comes after months of criticism by the MP of the way the party functions, raising concerns about the lack of internal debate, the centralization of decision-making and the need for a new political model. According to her, this process aims to promote broader membership involvement and address concerns identified during the recent period.

In a statement to the media, Spiropali said that the document is not only hers, but is open to all members of the Socialist Party. She emphasized that a new agreement cannot be drafted by one or two individuals, but must express the will of the party and society.

DP elects 'new' leadership/ Noka reconfirmed as Secretary General; Këlliçi wins against Boçi!

The National Council of the Democratic Party has completed the voting process for the election of vice-chairmen, the Secretary General, heads of secretariats and members of the Appeals Commission.
As expected, amidst numerous controversies, Flamur Noka has been reconfirmed as Secretary General of the DP, after securing 184 votes, against his rival Saimir Korreshi, who received 84 votes.

There were no changes in the political direction of the party for Gazment Bardhi, who continues to remain the chairman of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, as well as for Agron Gjekmarkaj, who retains the position of vice chairman.

In the race for the other vice-chair positions, Belind Këlliçi was elected, who defeated Luciano Boçi with a score of 177 to 113 votes, Nikola Kedhi, who triumphed over Jonathan Panos with 174 votes to 101, and Erisa Bajaziti, who secured 193 votes, leaving behind candidate Besa Manaj with 69 votes. With their election, Kedhi will represent the youth in the party's leadership structures, while Bajaziti will represent the diaspora.

The National Council also voted on the composition of the new secretariats. Klevis Balliu was elected Organizing Secretary, Andi Mustafaj took charge of the Secretariat for Human Resources, while Marash Logu will head the Secretariat for Legal and Electoral Affairs. Viola Kapedani was elected Secretary for Public Relations, Eva Metaj will cover Partner Organizations and Civil Society, while Fjoralba Dizdari was appointed Secretary for European Integration.
