The protest held in Tirana in support of the Albanian language and Albanian students in North Macedonia was accompanied by messages of solidarity and support from young Albanians.
One of the students present at the rally stated that Albanian students in the Republic of Macedonia are not alone and that their peers from Albania and Kosovo will stand by them until their demands are met.
" They thought that Albanian students in North Macedonia were alone, but they forgot that the whole of Albania has the eyes of the mind and heart on them ," the student said during his speech.
He accused politics in North Macedonia of ignoring the issue of the Albanian language and the problems of Albanian students, while saying that young people are doing what, in his opinion, the politicians themselves should have done.
" The taste of power made some people's blood boil and made them wonder whether the cause was worth it or not. Albanian students found themselves under psychological terror, 8 hours on the streets of Macedonia, but out of desperation for power they ignored what brought them to power, the Albanian language ," he declared.
According to the student, efforts to minimize the reaction of Albanian students will not succeed, as the Albanian language and national identity are sacred to Albanians.
" For us, the Albanian language is sacred. Holding on to the Albanian flag and language, Albanians have survived the centuries ," he said.
At the end of his speech, the student gave a strong message of support for Albanian students in North Macedonia.
" Albanianism does not know how to stop, we will be with them until the end, until their demands are met! ", he concluded.
