The 35th nationwide protest against Edi Rama's government was also accompanied by messages from Albanians from the diaspora, who joined the rally in Tirana for the second time.
From the podium set up in front of the Prime Minister's Office, one of their representatives demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister and called for changes in the political and electoral system.
In his speech, he stated that dissatisfaction with the government has affected Albanians wherever they live, calling on the prime minister to step down.
"You have angered Albanians around the world. I repeat our demands: unconditional resignation, paving the way for an apolitical transitional government to complete the transition," said the protester.
The diaspora representative also presented the demands that must be implemented to guarantee the elections.
"The technical government should guarantee changes to the Electoral Code, elections should be held with open lists, vote counting should be electronic so that the elections are not stolen, and, lastly, an audit of the administration, because the majority are patronage-oriented," he said.
He concluded his speech with a direct appeal to the prime minister: "Leave before it's too late."
