
The General Director of the State Police, Director Madhor Skënder Hita, held a working meeting with the directors of local Police directorates in the regions and heads of departments, where the situation of public order and security in the country was analyzed and work priorities for the following period were determined.
During the meeting, Hita requested maximum commitment from all police structures to prevent criminal incidents, solve them in a timely manner, and follow up with priority on any concerns raised by citizens. He emphasized that every case must be handled responsibly and professionally until the full completion of investigative procedures.
Another focus of the discussion was increasing the efficiency of services to guarantee public order and safety, strengthening road safety parameters and increasing the presence of the Police in the field, especially during the tourist season. According to the Director General, police structures must guarantee immediate response and support for citizens and tourists in any case of need.
Director Hita also emphasized respecting police ethics, integrity and increasing the performance of every State Police employee.
In terms of the fight against crime, he called for the intensification of measures to prevent and crack down on the cultivation of narcotic plants, both indoors with lamps and in the field, as well as an uncompromising crackdown on the distribution of narcotics, describing this phenomenon as a serious threat to public safety and the future of young people.
The Director General also ordered the intensive continuation of operations against illegal possession of weapons, the arrest of wanted persons, the crackdown on illegal gambling and the fight against environmental crimes, with the aim of increasing results in all areas of police activity.
In the context of the fire situation in the country, Hita requested maximum commitment to their prevention, identification and arrest of the perpetrators of each arson case, underlining that the protection of citizens' lives, property and the environment remains one of the main priorities of the State Police.
At the end of the meeting, the Director General asked the heads of local directorates and heads of police stations to be personally in charge of the services, to increase their presence on the ground in problematic areas, to exercise effective leadership of the structures they lead, and to strengthen cooperation with law enforcement agencies and institutions responsible for guaranteeing public order and security throughout the country.
