Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha has spoken about his detention by Greek police in Kakavija while traveling to Ioannina and being declared non grata in the Greek state.
The journalist detailed the moment of the stop and told how when he asked why this was happening, the Greek border police told him it was due to previous stances against Greece.
Hoxha added that after they took his fingerprints and filled out the non grata declaration form, the Greek police told him: "Get out of here and disappear from Greek soil."
" I was traveling to Ioannina, I hadn't passed through Kakavija in a while and as soon as I showed up at the Greek police counter I realized that there was something wrong with the delay. I started communicating in Greek. As soon as he put my passport in for scanning he said you have a problem, I told him that it has happened to me before but I know it has been fixed. 'No' he said and told me to go to the second line. I go to the second line and another policeman asked me about my parents because there are many people named Artan Hoxha in the Albanian registry.
"From the beginning, he told me that you had some attitudes against Greece. He left fingerprints. I told him that you are treating me like a criminal, he told me it is simply a procedure. He suddenly stood up, prepared the form and told me that you will fill this out and you will leave Greek territory because you are persona non grata. I asked him what for and he told me about what you have done and he told me that he knows very well what I have done. He told me to get out and disappear from Greek soil ," Hoxha said in "Top Story".
