Organizers have decided to reduce the number of speakers at today's rally, while the focus will be on the civic march on the streets of the capital.
The civic protest has entered its ninth day today with a new organizational strategy. Unlike previous days, when dozens of citizens and activists took to the stage to deliver speeches, organizers have decided to have only a few speakers today.
According to the organizers, the goal is for the protest to not focus only on speeches, but on civic participation and presence on the streets of Tirana.
After the welcoming speeches, the protesters are expected to start a march on some of the main axes of the capital, thus moving the center of the protest from the square to the streets of Tirana.
The decision comes at a time when the protest is not only not losing participation, but is also marking a continuous increase in the number of citizens joining it. The organizers aim to expand contact with citizens through the march and make the movement's presence in the capital more visible.
What began as a reaction against the project in Zvërnec is increasingly taking on the characteristics of a broader civic movement, with calls against the political class and demands for change.
On the ninth day of the protest, the organizers seem to be seeking to give a new rhythm to the mobilization, placing less emphasis on speeches and more on marching and active participation of citizens on the streets of Tirana.
