Journalist Erl Murati said that after 35 years since the fall of communism, politics in Albania does not recognize nor implement the method of party leader resignation, but continues to have the same leader, which is the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
Murati stated that from December 8, 1990 until today, the form has changed but not the content.
"We have opened negotiations with the EU for integration and we must apply European methods," said journalist Erl Murati.
According to him, the fact that Berisha continues to lead the DP is not at all positive in Albania's journey towards EU membership.
"I personally see this as a problem. The form has changed and many things in content have not changed. I believe that it is not positive that the DP has the same chairman as 35 years ago. We have opened negotiations with the EU for integration and we must apply European methods ," Murati told "News 24".
