The union of the Democrats who collected the most votes in the May 11 elections, but who remain outside parliament, has stirred up trouble in the blue seat.
Former DP candidate for MP, Aulon Kalaj, who was part of this meeting, stated on "Albania Live" that he had not gone there to create a new political party and explained what he discussed at that meeting.
"I want to make a clarification that I did not go to the table to create a new political party, nor to create a new political forum, because my beliefs at that table are very different. I think that we should turn the Democratic Party to the right. If this is a movement for someone to leave and someone else to come, I distance myself. This has been bastardized.
I disagree with epithets, because I deal with content, not form.
I personally have spoken about the electoral code thesis. What will be done with the electoral code, without making the decision of the base.
Did it seem like a cafe for the discontented? This is an epithet. I am neither Ervin Salianji's nor Sali Berisha's. I participate in various forums for the revival of the Democratic Party. Ervin Salianji called me on the phone and told me that we would meet with different candidates so that each one could show the problems we had in the elections.
I'm not afraid of anyone. If another meeting is held tomorrow by another DP representative, I will definitely go.
"Berisha's comment was correct. He praised us for contributing to the DP. I was the first to leave the meeting," Kalaja told "Top Channel".
