Journalist Klodiana Lala commented today on News24 about losing contact with former deputy director of AKSHI, Daniel Shima.
She said that Shima knows a lot and that he may have been threatened not to talk. According to Lala, Shima had also recently received money at interest. The loss of his contacts for 10 hours has raised suspicions and requires an in-depth investigation by the police. The case remains open and requires the full clarification of the circumstances.
"Daniel Shima was considered the main brain of AKSHI. Shima's last contact was with his partner. He was in Borsh, on the way back he bought eggs. Yesterday he went to his grandmother's house.
He only sent a message to his partner that he was being arrested. From that moment on, the alert was given. But security cameras also show him in Tirana, up to the Elbasan Tunnel. He said he had a conflict with his partner.
I don't see it that way, but I believe the matter needs a thorough investigation. The police need to clarify who Shima met in Borsh and Shijak after he fled Tirana, why he sent that message that they were going to arrest me.
Daniel Shima knows a lot. If he speaks, many investigations can be conducted. I do not believe that it was a voluntary escape. It is necessary to know whether he was threatened and to remain silent, whether he needs protection and whether he needs to talk about what happened at AKSHI.
"He had recently been asking for money with interest. The police should follow this matter to the end. Maybe there are people who are interested in him being silent," said Lala.
