Several telephone conversations between a former official of the Public Procurement Commission and her family members are being investigated by SPAK, as they reveal a case of robbery of 200 thousand euros in the former official's apartment and the hostage-taking of her brother.
Sources confirm that it is Jonida Skeja. SPAK, which got on the trail of this event after investigating several tender procedures for roads, where it has also named the suspended head of the Public Procurement Commission, Jonaid Myzyri, as a defendant, is trying to understand the source of the money.
Questioned by SPAK investigators, former official Jonida Skeja claimed that the source of the 200 thousand euros was her cousins and relatives who live in Greece.
The former official's conversations with her relatives have shown her concerns about the robbery and hostage-taking of her brother for several hours, so that he would not notify the police. The incident, which occurred in Librazhd, has been confirmed by the local directorate of Elbasan as reported.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, for the same proceeding, SPAK took Jonaid Myzyri and 10 other former officials as defendants on suspicion of violating equality in tenders for the maintenance of the Shpal-Ura e Repsit road axis worth 2.2 million euros.
SPAK's investigations into the director of Public Procurement, Jonaid Myzyri, have revealed a scandal with his subordinate.
This is Jonida Skeja, an official of this commission, who is also under investigation for abuses with public tenders.
During the investigations of SPAK, a telephone conversation was uncovered about the robbery of 200 thousand euros in the apartment of the head of the department, Jonida Skeja, in Librazhd. The masked perpetrators were spotted by her brother. After neutralizing him, they robbed 200 thousand euros and took the official's brother hostage, so that he would not notify the police. He was released a few minutes later.
This event is confirmed to have occurred 5 years ago. SPAK currently has in its possession the telephone conversation between Jonida Skeja and her mother, to whom she recounts the robbery in the apartment.
This matter is being investigated by SPAK prosecutor Elvin Gokaj, who is reported to have requested information from the Elbasan and Librazhd police regarding this event.
Police investigations have uncovered several episodes that raise suspicions of abuses in public procurement. The wiretaps show that Jonida Skeja stated in a phone call that they were signing like “sheep for that dwarf”, referring to its director Jonaid Myzyri. He is being investigated under the measure of compulsory appearance for the criminal offense of “Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions”, committed in collaboration, and has been suspended from the director’s duties.
This is about the tender held in 2020 with the contracting authority, the Albanian Road Authority, and concerns the fifth lot, "Fanit Bridge - Shpal, Qafë Benë - Hadroj, and Shpal - Repsit Bridge."
SPAK says that the Procurement Commission has illegally favored the merger of two economic operators, where after investigative actions it resulted that they submitted forged documents. / Klan News
