A serious attack shook the city of Shkodra this morning, killing Armando Pali and Geridon Kraja, while Erogen Vaso and waitress Meri Kaceri were injured.
Sources from the investigation suspect that the alleged perpetrator of the assassination is Ragip Gila, who may also have been involved in the murder of Kristjan Kola a few days ago in the same city.
Investigative journalist Poli Hoxha, invited to Euronews Albania, said that despite the fact that there is still no official investigation lead linking the two events, the similarities in the manner of execution give rise to strong suspicion.
" There is an allusion that emerged precisely about these similarities in the assassination, the assassin, the motorcycle or the way he shot. The strange thing is that the execution of Kristjan, which was not known as problematic, until today when this assassination took place, this thesis was thrown out that the investigation is not yet complete, that it could be the same author ," said Hoxha.
He added that both events could be linked through the fact that in Shkodra, according to him, contract killings have become a common reality.
"In Shkodra, hired killers have become normal and at low prices. A hired killer takes orders and doesn't ask questions, has no empathy for the victim. The perpetrator is known to have been a hired killer. It could even be a lead that it is the same killer ," the journalist said.
Investigations to fully unravel the two events are continuing, while authorities have not yet provided official confirmation whether today's assassination attempt and that of Kristjan Kola are linked to each other through the same perpetrator.
