Journalist Klodiana Lala and lawyer Eugen Beci commented on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, the handover of the book 'The Albanian Files' by activists a day earlier to SPAK, with the aim of investigating the connection of Rama's government with architects from around the world involved in over 500 projects in Albania.
They stated that there is still no criminal complaint and that the move is symbolic, but could serve to launch an investigation by prosecutors.
Conversation:
Klodiana Lala: There is no criminal report yet. A report is being prepared, but it has not been filed. The activists said they will file it by mail.
Yesterday, the activists arrived at the Special Prosecutor's Office and handed it over to the reception, but there has been no reaction from the Prosecutor's Office, but in order for action to be taken, there must be a report.
The book was signed on every page by activists.
Eugen Beci: It's symbolic, from the protest's point of view. The protesters have symbolically left the ball in the Special Prosecutor's Office's court. Files also start from a chronicle, from a news item, from an indication that may not be a concrete report.
The book plays the role of public information that prosecutors must evaluate and see if there are any clues or not.
If some of the protesters file a formal report, the Special Prosecution Office must provide a response, so half the way is done.
So, not only a formal report can serve, but also a book or a show to raise the alarm to prosecutors that there may be criminal offenses that could constitute a novelty and cause to initiate criminal proceedings.
