Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço says that the Special Prosecution Office, with its work, only scares Albanian criminal groups.
On the ABC News show "Real Story," Karamuço said that powerful criminal groups are not investing in Albania.
" America and the DEA office in Albania follow a certain line. It's good that they are there, information has come in real time. In some operations, their assistance has been decisive. In some of the lines we have been strengthened. There they still call us the Balkan mafia. We also have to look at the tons, the quantities, this is very important. The American state, the new administration, has announced who the cartels are. There are almost 17 groups of cartels. Do we have collaborators with Mexican and Colombian cartels? This needs to be seen. If the DEA has accurate evidence in Albania, there may be development. On the contrary, I don't see where the connection is. Very powerful criminal groups, they have no roots in Albania, they don't invest in Albania. Where are you going to catch them? They are changing their physiognomy too ," he stressed.
