Balluku returned to office, Frrok Çupi: The Constitutional Court

The Constitutional Court decided this Friday, the reinstatement of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. Commenting on the decision, analyst Frrok Çupi said that this was a moment of self-correction for the Constitutional Court, which according to him faced the consequences of its actions and reached a point of deep reflection.

Ćupi described the institution's behavior as tense and fraught with danger for state structures, while emphasizing that the prime minister's appeal placed the court in front of overwhelming evidence. He added that the Constitutional Court must distance itself from political influences and restore its independent functioning.

"I am glad that the Constitutional Court decided to correct itself. The Constitutional Court, it seems, by doing bad, did good. It approached the mirror, seeing itself in what conditions it was and it was in catastrophic conditions. The Constitutional Court took the last step. It consciously went to the point of insulting, dismembering and destroying the entire structure of the state.

This was the best chance we saw to turn the Constitutional Court into a close one. What it did was a test with us, it played with the nerves of an entire people. An uncontrollable institution, it got out of control itself. The Prime Minister's appeal in the session was put into serious question marks, it was put to the test. The Constitutional Court acted at a very hot temperature. The Constitutional Court is a very weak court, which tried to harm the government, just to embarrass the Prime Minister. The Constitutional Court must get out of the political formula", said Frrok Çupi on ABC News.
