A fire was reported in the early hours of Sunday morning at the entrance to the village of Palokastër, Gjirokastër. The incident occurred in a sensitive area, where the flames were spreading rapidly, posing a danger to the surrounding area.
After being notified by residents, the Fire and Rescue Directorate in Gjirokastra immediately sent firefighting teams to intervene and extinguish the flames. Thanks to the quick and coordinated intervention, the fire was brought under control without causing damage to people or property.
The Fire and Rescue Directorate thanked citizens for their quick response and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of maximum caution when using fire in open spaces.
They also invite all citizens to be careful, especially during hot periods, and to report any suspicious situations.
