Coach Sylvinho Mendes Campos Junior and two vice-coaches, Pablo Javier Zabaleta Girod and Dorival Guidoni Junior have signed the contract renewal with the Albanian Football Federation.
After several weeks of negotiations, the extension of the contract until December 2025 is now official.
The Communication Department of the AFL informs that the new contract with coach Silvinjo and his two assistants, Zabaleta and Dorival, will last until December 2025 and work will immediately begin for UEFA Nations League matches and UEFA Cup qualifiers. the world.
Initially, the discussions between the two parties were about the financial improvement of the conditions that the coach will receive for the continuation, this also thanks to the achievement of the main objective he had, the qualification for Euro 2024.

Sylvinho stated at the time: "We have spoken and I can say that we have reached an agreement, but we have not yet signed."
Since qualifying for the European Championship, in November 2023, Sylvinho has stated that his objective is for Albania to qualify for major events as often as possible, referring also to participation in the World Cup.

This renewal comes a few months before the Albanian national team takes the field again, since in September Albania will play in the League of Nations where it is part of group 1 together with the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Georgia.
