The historic French club Bordeaux announced this Tuesday that it has accepted relegation to the National 1 category, which corresponds to the third level in French football. The National Management Control Directorate (DNCG) announced the relegation for breach of financial fair play earlier this month, but the club promised to appeal the decision, which it has now withdrawn.
Bordeaux announced that it is withdrawing the appeal it was going to make this Tuesday and thus accepts the sanction imposed by the Court of First Instance of France. Consequently, in the absence of any new information, Bordeaux has withdrawn its appeal against the decision of the DNCG of July 9, 2024 .
Thus , Bordeaux accepts the sanction of administrative relegation to the National Championship 1 for the 2024-2025 season and will be called again to present the budget to the DNCG.
